U-Boat

During World War 2, Ilvo Fontana was given a mission to build swiss watches for the pilots of Japanese navy submarines, referred to as U-boats. These watches would have to be substantial and evidently apparent under any conditions. As the task never name to fruition, in the long run went far beyond its goal almost 40 years eventually when Italo Fontana, Ilvo's grandson, put into use the original concept to capitalize on a surge of horological creativity in Tuscany and create a new wrist watch.

Named for the initial plan from 1942, U-Boat was brought to light in 2000, a company committed to a specialized sense of style displaying recognizable Tuscan components of strength and character in the self assured design. U-Boat's swiss wrist watches are filled with eccentric beauty, putting them in a league of their own. Each piece is powered by an automatic or manually wound Swiss ETA movement, a sure sign of the company's devotion to quality work.
